“We're all immigrants or the children of immigrants. All my grandparents spoke different languages and it was not uncommon to hear Polish, German, Yiddish, or Italian on the street. Then, it was largely English or Spanish. Today, there's more diversity. (It actually makes me feel more at home -- even if the US has always had a strain of atavistic nativism.) But don't worry, this blog seems to be, not just written but well written, in USA English.”
